Inter Miami

During his time at Inter Miami, Leo witnessed how Messi transforms the lives of everyone he meets.

Disco music and subdued red lighting at Cafe Prima Pasta in Miami Beach instantly create a mood Although Lionel Messi has been to Prima Pasta for over ten years, his most memorable viral incident since coming to the United States occurred on July 13, the year before.

Prima Pasta was a local favorite before, but it has now become known as Messi's favorite restaurant in Miami, according to a report by The Athletic.

A resident who works as a barber also had good luck after seeing Messi. The report also stated that a muralist who travels the world was inspired by Lionel Messi's World Cup victory to create a highly recognized work of art.

When Messi and his family dined nearby at Prima Pasta in July, it garnered international notice as customers tried to keep things regular. That evening, Angelo Acción, 30, a bartender, told The Athletic, "Messi just strolled in through the front door." "The patrons here were initially unaware that he had entered. Many of the patrons waited for him out back as soon as they saw him.

A 57-year-old Prima Pasta owner named Cea disclosed that he owns guitars signed by famous performers including Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, and René Pérez, aka Residente.

Cea also possesses a guitar signed by the late Gustavo Cerati, an Argentine rock singer who was a frequent visitor at Prima Pasta prior to his passing in 2014. According to the claim, Cea has become friends with the Messi family and now possesses a Gibson guitar signed by No. 10 of Inter Miami.

"Leo is always very cool," Cea said to The Athletic. "His family has been visiting for the past 12 years, but this was only his third visit." He's usually grinning and seems so at ease. Never an issue. Simply said, an awesome individual."

Messi's favorite dish, according to Cea, is agnolotti Rosso, which is loaded pasta with ricotta cheese and spinach in a pink sauce.

The globetrotting muralist

In the summer of 2023, Maximiliano Bagnasco had an unforgettable experience with Messi. The most well-known Messi mural in South Florida was painted by 42-year-old Argentinean artist Bagnasco.

David Beckham, co-owner of Inter Miami, was among the first celebrities to notice the Messi painting in Bagnasco. When the former Manchester United player got into Bagnasco's crane for a Messi moment that went viral, he became well-known in his own right.

Around the world, Bagnasco has created several murals featuring Messi and Maradona. The Wynwood mural's idea originated from a partnership between Bagnasco and the building's owner, renowned Miami developer Gustavo Miculitzki, a 67-year-old Argentinean connected to Block Capital Group.

"Gustavo came up with the idea," Bragnasco said to The Athletic. "He wanted it to say 'Welcome to Miami.'" "Wynwood" was added. Gustavo said Messi should be grinning. We chose this design even though I had proposed a different one. It was about seeing Messi with Inter Miami and embracing him. Messi is the global champion here. That is the Messi that everyone adores and that we currently have."

In Miami, Messi sightings are getting more frequent, whether he's sighted at a neighborhood coffee shop, drinking maté, or going to a buddy of his oldest son Thiago's U-12 Inter Miami academy team's birthday celebration.

We've been living here for more than 20 years, and it's been really amazing, Miculitzki remarked. We understand Leo's meaning and the way he affects people, both football fans and not. That has been demonstrated. Messi's influence is global. It is amazing. To truly comprehend anything, you have to live it."

 The self-taught barber

Luis Andrés Rivera, a Miami-based Puerto Rican businessman, goes by the handle El Bori Barber on social media. When he started serving as Messi's personal barber last summer, his life changed.

Three black leather barber chairs and a carefully curated mix of salsa music complete the sleek and modern appearance of Rivera's Destiny Barber Studio in Wynwood. When asked about his experiences, Rivera stays silent and makes reference to the confidentiality agreement he signed with Messi's organization.

Rivera has had to turn down multiple inquiries from the media ever since he posted a picture of himself with Messi on Instagram in August of last year. He shows off the WhatsApp messages he and Messi have exchanged with pride, but he soon puts his phone down and says he can talk about anything other than that.

Rivera, 29, is originally from a beach hamlet that is located in the city of San Juan. His hometown is the coastal community of Patillas in southeast Puerto Rico.

"Bro, Miami is where I live," declares Rivera. "I arrived here with modest expectations but lofty goals in mind. Miami serves as a reminder that everything is possible in life. In Miami, the possibilities are endless. When I first arrived here, I was unfamiliar with any of my well-known clients. They are here, according to me. Have faith in yourself if you put in a lot of effort and are disciplined here. Everything is in Miami.
