Prescott Micro Seal Operations

Beginning the week of April 8, 2024, Prescott Micro Seal Operations

The FY24 Micro Seal Preservation Project is presently being worked on by Southwest Slurry Seal, the contractor, and the City of Prescott.

Beginning the week of April 1, the contractor will be finishing up operations related to crack sealing, which involves using an adhesive sealant to fill in existing gaps in the pavement. Micro milling is already finished.

To prolong the life of the asphalt pavement along Willow Creek Road, from Green Lane/Pulliam Drive to a point just south of Iron Springs Road/Whipple Street (including the independent turn lanes), the contractor will start applying a micro seal treatment (a seal coat intended to prolong pavement life) during the week of April 8.

→Between Green Lane/Pulliam Drive and Iron Springs Road/Whipple Street, work will be done (including the independent turn lanes).

At Gail Gardner Way, the project's duration will be split into two halves.

The northern half will receive the initial and final microsealing treatment before moving on to the southern half. In the northbound lanes, crews will work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and in the southbound lanes, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will always be one lane of traffic going in each direction, but please be advised that there may be flagging activities, temporary driveway closures, lane limitations, slower speeds, and loud noises throughout the work zones.

→Throughout the challenge, the City is dedicated to informing locals, organizations, and tourists approximately any capability results from construction.

This venture is moving quickly; it must be finished by means of the give up of May 2024. When finished, this venture will boom the lifespan of the pavement and enhance the pleasant of the street for drivers in Prescott.

A thorough notification door hanger can be sent to the those who will be immediately impacted before microsealing sports in a specific vicinity start. The notifications will comprise info on those operations' results on visitors, paintings hours, and accessibility.

→For the duration of the project, a single lane of traffic will be closed due to traffic management.

For the duration of the project, traffic control will be implemented to restrict one lane of traffic.
After our workers finish the micro seal treatment, which could take up to three hours, this traffic control will be lifted in portions behind them. Sand will be placed to the street in front of company driveways to provide access, around ten minutes after the micro seal treatment is completed. Should an emergency arise, kindly inform the construction workers, and they will provide for access.

This task is very weather-dependent and is not guaranteed. When driving through the project corridor, drivers should plan ahead and allow extra time.
